First week of sumer 2013

So me together with the whole family went on a week-long vacay trip to Singapore and Malaysia(March 16-24!)

Brace yourselves, this post have tons of photos! Mostly selfies. Mehehe. Some of the photos are square, you see. They were taken in Instagram.

Classes in my school ends on the 23rd of March so I missed a week in school. I took advanced exams in my subjects so as to not be late and have to worry about reviewing while I was away. It was hard for me, of course. I haven't had anyone to cheat with and being me, a non-reviewing type of person that I am, I know little of what appeared on the exams. So it really was a bummer to take exams alone.

Anyway, we left for the airport by 9am. Our plane will be leaving by 1pm so we have to be checked in 3 hours prior. We got to my sister's place in Singapore around 8pm. We took a look around Yew Tee then headed to sleep.

The photo to the left was taken when we were waiting for boarding in NAIA. The photo on the right was taken in Changi Airport a few minutes after our touchdown in Singapore.

We were off to Malaysia the next day. We first went in Legoland to have some fun. Turns out the weather there's having a bit of trouble. It rained four times, heavy pouring then comes the bright hot sun. It was a pain in the ass having to experience bipolar weather. We spent the night in a hotel, Bayu Marina Hotel. Below are some photos from that day.

Ooh and I encountered a couple of dirty-minded legos!

The next day, we went to JB Central Mall, did a bit of shopping then went back to my sister's place in Singapore. The 2 days after we got back from Malaysia, we went to tour around ION Orchard, Esplanade, Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands and other more tourist spots in SG. My mom and Ate Ivah bought me sandals and shoes from Rubi and I first had a taste of SG's well-known $1 ice cream! I also got to watch the sort-of-lights-in-ayala-triangle-show by the supertrees in Gardens by the Bay The photos from those two days is as follows.

We spent our 5th day out of the country in Universal Studios, Sentosa. We had more fun there than in Legoland. I met quite a lot of fictional characters. There's Oscar the grouch, Frankenstein, a few characters from Madagascar, and other more characters that I don't really know. I had fun meeting King Julien of Madagscar the most! :) I ran through the fountain there too, in exchange for $2. But I didn't get that $2. Anyway, here are some of the photos.

Day 6 and 7 wasn't much of an event.  We went back to Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay on day 6 and we had a BBQ and swimming party on the 7th day. But our BBQ party was sabotaged by the heavy-pouring rain. Then we left for Changi airport the evening of the 7th day.

We went swimming a bunch of times too but I have no plan on sharing those icky lumpia-ish photos of mine in a bikini. Hahaha. I'm too sane for that.

It was my first time to fly to another country and it felt weird that I wasn't excited at all. I had fun, yes, but not that kind of fun that is extreme, just... fun.

So that's pretty much the summary of my week. kbye
